DIY - Dip Dye T-shirt

Bonjour!
I've been meaning to play with dye for the longest time and I finally got around to doing it!
Have you ever came across those gradient tees and shirt's  and always wanted one? Well, why not just
make it yourself. While I was at the crafts store hunting for my colored dye, my eyes went gaga on all
the colors they had- weirdly enough I choose black, haha. I just felt that it's simple and easy to work with,
but you can always just go ahead and try all the colors and make yourself one of those hippie 70's tees which are awesome!.

So what you need is:
1) A dye of your choice      - you can get it at your local craft store or even some stationary departments.
2) Bucket  - A deep and big enough to fit your clothe and so that it moves freely for an even coverage.
3) Your T-shirt of course!
4) Salt or hot water depends on your dye instructions.
5) Inspiration!

Okay lets go!

1) Dampen your tee entirely for the dye to be transferred  more easily.

2) Prepare your dye in the bucket ( follow manufacture's instructions accordingly).

3) Depends on what part you want to gradient, mine's the upper part. attach it to a hanger face down.

    So that it's even . Slowly sink it in the dye till right about below the sleeves of the tee. Cover the sleeves

    completely. And it works the same way if you want to do it at the bottom part, just  don't go over the

    sleeves.         

4) When your happy with it, lay it down on the floor nicely, and take the dye with a brush or the end of the  

     ruler, and splatter across the the black and white section. Don't forget to do the back!

5) When you're happy with it, just wash your tee thoroughly, and let it dry and off you go flaunting your

     creation! 

I had a lot of dye left so I dyed a few things!

There's really endless possibilities of dyes,

Just have fun playing around with it!

Cameron Highlands..

Hello there, I've finally found time to blog about my recent getaways,
So last week for a couple of days with my mum brilliant planning we went to Cameron Highlands , if you
din't notice already ( for those who don't know , It's one of the coldest place here in microwave hot Malaysia).
I could finally find an excuse to wear all my jacket's and sweater that would seem redundant to wear everyday down here!. Happily packed my winter wears and dreadfully dragging my assignments along- so up we went!
My mum had a amazing deal , so we had an apartment with an amazing view, shared with my cousins and auntie. Funny thing is while on the way to the top , I would repeatedly open the window and slide my hands out to make sure that it was getting cold, my sister's was like " Is it cold now brother" .
So many stories to tell but it would  literary take too long to tell the tale. So I'll just sum it up, we didn't do what typical people do at Cameron Highlands, you know what it is... the cliche' stuff , so I'm giving you a personal insight on how I experience the place.

The night market, surprisingly they have the most amazing coats and jacket, a leather jacket caught my eye.

This enormous most seem to be everywhere, my cousin seems to have quite a creative eye and snapped it.

 

Our food was always cooked by our amazing mothers!

 Here's something , I think that our family is a little obsessed with jungle tracking.We found ourselves a jungle. The most beautiful one I've seen, even though I was gasping of tiredness , It was too cold too sweat!

 

 Me in a attempt to blow the pretty purple flower which I taught was a dandelion.

 Worst decision ever putting my feet in the water, FREEEEEEZING cold, I swear to god I was getting
cramps!

Kittens and Clothes

Happy Chinese New Year to those celebrating!,
Hello there, I have the week off basically, yeah! Regardless of my massive assignment,
I'm going to try to enjoy this unexpected break. Yesterday was a hectic day for me, I went
to KL and took my printed tees for testing and I must say their quite nice! plus, I got plain t-shirts
for testing and experiments. So excited! I bought myself  new pairs of shoes, what a prosperous year!
I love them, their black and simple which is what I needed for rushed days to college and it goes with
everything. I was just so giddy to create more works , any creative produce really. All my works are quite
edgy and contrast, so I decided to go entirely different and did a super cute kittens, with pastel backgroud and
lace details. It really looks like an English plate that grandmother's would keep in their kitchens.

A rainy day in the car while jam, crazy jam .. 3 hours drive alone... singing deliriously in the car.
The new shoes in the box was the only motivation through the jam.

The one without the turqoise background is for if I want to print it on a black sweater!

 Haha, super girlish... Like what Ms. Umbridge would have in Harry Potter.
