The Velveteen Rabbit

It's quite late now here , but I'm just simply too excited so I have to make this post.
I've been meaning to make this artwork  for quite some time now,and  I kept on thinking of making it but
never really got to it, because I'm a procrastination expert!. Remember I said that I wanted to draw
more guys, well here it is. What better to way  to draw, then  Adam Gallagher from I am GALLA!,
most of you would know him from his amazing looks in lookbook.nu, I particular like his look "The Velveteen Rabbit" with his burgundy blazer(with I would die for). So here it is!
I wanted something colorful but muted, but with strong hints of turquoise.

This was fun to manipulate , I really like it, gives a Alexander Mcqueen feel to it.

So It's prisma color pencil, watercolor, graphite on color paper! with the help of photoshop of course.
I think I'll include this in my prints which is coming very soon!

Of Turbans and Flowers..

Bonjour! I am very excited for this so just bare with me, I been waiting and waiting to share this to you guys for quite some time now(and I'm not good at waiting). So, for the last month or so I've been doing commissions and art just for fun , That I've shown some preview and sneak peaks here and there for them  who's notices it. So the first piece I did is of Yuna Zarai, it was just the most natural thing to do after Jezmine Blossom! So with the help of the most AWESOME cousin Angah!woot!. It was delivered right to her hands!. Seriously the painting was insane fun to do. Tried new techniques, and black background for the first time and loving it, seriously! I wanted to show the edgy and eclectic side of her that I see is growing, so searched her blogs for inspiration and pics, and the turban that she now wears is Gorgeous, she looks amazing! the colour combination that she does are very intelligent!.  Without further or due....

And she posted this on her twitter!here! and her instagram.

For the second piece which was commissioned by a couple for their wedding day, I was touched!
They wanted them in full body, with the sweetest colours, for the wedding theme is fairy tale, awww!
so I made this...

Fuhh! okay then I hope you guys enjoyed my labour of love, I had SUPER fun! and have a nice 11/11/11,LOL!

Oriental spectrum

Bonjour!
Well, let me tell you something, my weekend has been the most hectic and amazing one.
To safe you the hassle , i'll organised it. First order of business would be my mum getting back
from Beijing.(She's been there a week!phew). I had to drive all the way to LCCT. in the middle of
the night to take. and it was far..... a little family adventure, like we always do. Got lost, got stuck and
got headaches!.but it's worth it!. So when got back home the only thing that went through my mind
was what did she get for me, I'm sure my sister's were thinking the same!. While she unpacks her bag , she
tells stories of her adventures to china , climbing great walls, passing through forbidden kingdom and adoring
china's extraordinary majestic ornaments.(which gave me crazy ideas on  what she bought!,LOL)
she pulled out the most amazing long sleeve shirt and gave it to me! gasp* OMG, finally.
Isn't it amazing! it's 50% silk, it's so soft and nice to wear.
Only for important events, haha! My mum said it's was
the hardest to bargain and the hardest to find, well that's what you
get when you have a eccentric son.
And....... she got me this traditional Tibet
embroidery bag. which is perfect . I love her forever!
and a Communism cap.

Second order of business is creative work update which is also very exciting.
Ideas come flowing after indulging myself in fantasy and sci-fi knowledge.
So here's a sneak peek!

just din't get the chance to share it. I really love it, it's made out
of wood, carpet and nuts and seeds. don't worry I
furnished it so the ants wont come!

Okay I exhausted and I need to eat and go to college.
Au revoir!

The Transcendental Gentleman

Bonjour!
This may be long overdue but it was worth it, I needed time to make just the way I wanted it to be.
I made a couple sets of artworks that I just pill up in a corner. So this the main one, the biggest one-it's
just like the one I did last semester's break. But I decided to do it on cardboard material which I did
once a time ago which I looove, I think I'm stuck with this medium !So for this I was really inspired by William Morris prints and Aztec patterns that I do love so much(and a lot of tumblr pics of course.). and since I mostly draw girls, I wanna draw more guys now. Colours are my best friend that I assume you figured it out by now but I din't want to go overboard , so I made it slightly muted.

" This is where all the fun are".
Gauche and Colour Pencil on Cardboard Paper.

"Untitled"
Mixed Media on Art-block.

For these guys I really don't know what to name them , any ideas?
I'm trying to mix the perfect gentlemen(English of course) with tribal and little
of mayhem to give a mixed rugged look. I do have one more artwork that I'm
really am excited about but I say anything yet till I get her approval!.
Au Revoir!

Film Fusion.

Well, you know when you watch a very richly styled movie with amazing story lines and you just get so infused into it, that you just now how to play the character and you won't mind being one and living their lives because they're just so effing interesting? I spent half of the day doing that, while I was painting my mum's rose that she requested- I wanted to be inspired and just chill and smell the roses( LOL!). So I simultaneously watched movies and paint at the same time, ahh life is good.(I'm getting very productive) The first movie I saw was actually found by accident while deliriously searching another favorite. It's The Darjeeling Limited, I was shocked that I had that DVD in my stack, well a close friend of mine ( she's really cool and is an expert for everything indie and hobo, in a good way of course!)well she adores that movie and I always wanted to watch it and wondered how on earth have I haven't!
It is an AMAZING MOVIE, if you haven't watched it, you should.
I was just so inspired by it , the way it been styled and India is just Magical place.I want to go there.badly.
Makes me appreciate the Indian blood in me.
The colours are just amazing, and it really shows my style. So I think I'll be wearing more prints and colors!

He's style is just really effin awesome!

That's me! It's awhile ago.. Owh the shoes I've customized my own.
The other movies I watched was Miss Potter, Devils wear Prade(ofcourse) and Single Man. I love ALL of these movies for inspiration, maybe I'll post their individual style on other days.
Au revoir! x
