Oriental spectrum

Well, let me tell you something, my weekend has been the most hectic and amazing one.
To safe you the hassle , i'll organised it. First order of business would be my mum getting back
from Beijing.(She's been there a week!phew). I had to drive all the way to LCCT. in the middle of
the night to take. and it was far..... a little family adventure, like we always do. Got lost, got stuck and
got headaches!.but it's worth it!. So when got back home the only thing that went through my mind
was what did she get for me, I'm sure my sister's were thinking the same!. While she unpacks her bag , she
tells stories of her adventures to china , climbing great walls, passing through forbidden kingdom and adoring
china's extraordinary majestic ornaments.(which gave me crazy ideas on  what she bought!,LOL)
she pulled out the most amazing long sleeve shirt and gave it to me! gasp* OMG, finally.
Isn't it amazing! it's 50% silk, it's so soft and nice to wear.
Only for important events, haha! My mum said it's was
the hardest to bargain and the hardest to find, well that's what you
get when you have a eccentric son.
And....... she got me this traditional Tibet
embroidery bag. which is perfect . I love her forever!
and a Communism cap.

Second order of business is creative work update which is also very exciting.
Ideas come flowing after indulging myself in fantasy and sci-fi knowledge.
So here's a sneak peek!

just din't get the chance to share it. I really love it, it's made out
of wood, carpet and nuts and seeds. don't worry I
furnished it so the ants wont come!

Okay I exhausted and I need to eat and go to college.
Au revoir!

Old School.

Hello there , I know I haven't posted much new work . is because I was busy with school work.
Which is driving me nuts!. So here are the compilation for to fill the blanks of my absence.

THOR movie if you haven't guessed yet.

It's for my illustration fundamental class which is so fun
the main medium is colour pencil(which  is my new love medium),more to come!
what do you think?

Hello creepy crawlers!
Halloween just crept around the corner and for last night it bit  me, the venom slowly
decayed  my skin exposing raw bone that also started to crack. If you don't know already, it's my Halloween look for last night's insane party at college. Well it was a hectic Friday  , ton's of errands to run-luckily made it alive through Halloween despite my deadly face. The party was awesome of course with ghost and ghouls closely packed like sardine cans ( my "makeup" melted in the heat) and head banging , jumping due to intoxicating heavy metal bands which I don't really understand till today, owh well. You'll probably want to see the footage that hear me babble.

There you go How do I look? I know I should have gotten better picture but these the only one's I got my hand to. I promise the next time I dress up, ill have better footage!
Here's the tutorial I referred   to for the skull makeup.
I hope you'll have even better ideas and costumes for Halloween

Dear lovely clothes

Hello there , I've having a lot of assignments, and they quite a handful of them I'm really enthusiastic about it! I cant wait for the book project that ill be doing based on the Queen of the Southern East Sea which is amazingly fascinating ( more that what I bargain for). I may be i little  obsessed but it's all good. If you want to know more about her, the name is Nyi Roro Kidul. And I have a coloring assignment that's really exciting! I'm going to be drawing the girls of John Galliano for Fall/Winter 2009. After researching the pictures and trying to find element to compliment it. And since Halloween is around the corner, my style tends to change to a more horror/ romantic vibe that I know love. Listening to melodramatic symphonies , wearing mostly black with hints or Metallic , just really dark, LOL.
A model walks the runway during the Givenchy Ready to Wear Autumn/Winter 2011/2012 show at the Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion Week on March 6, 2011 in Paris, France.

I've recently fallen in love with the black panther! OMG! there are gorgeous,
black velvety fur that looks so luxurious and mysterious. I wish I had one
as a pet that could follow me around like a dog. Speaking of dogs, Givenchy's Fall
collection 2011 , which I recently stumble upon is very intuitive. Not to mention
gorgeously fierce dogs and hounds parading vigorously on the designs.
Givenchy took my heart yet again.

   Au Revoir, Creepy Crawlers.

Je suis désolé!

Yes, I am sorry. I know it's been forever! I was just simply crazy busy, with commission's, assignments and
miscellaneous. I have tons to tell you guys of new muses and exciting shows. Lately if been looking art in a new way, I'm now more interested about the deeper meaning in art. The feeling that it gives. Not just nice illustrations with  excellent technicality. I actually like starring at a piece of work and comment on it like those art critics that says amazing things only at a empty box. How do they come up with these concepts? The idea behind it really thrills me. I really love instillation work which I hope to do one day, and I found a name for myself- a Mixed media artist!( Mixed media, in visual art, refers to an artwork in the making of which more than one medium has been employed.)

So here are  updates on what I have been doing!

New colour pencils that I ordered from Prismacolor
which is insanely AWESOME!

I might just change my medium to color pencils!
This is the commission I did for a couple for their wedding day,
ill show the full one when the wedding day arrives.

Below here is a birthday present I did for my sister,it's a phone
cover which was just a plain plastic then I pimped it up with skin and stickers
and good those of dazzle!

I hope this post covers up the duration that I've been gone .
Au revoir!
Haris Rashid.
